Believe it or not, the 2022 models of all your favorite Subaru models are not far from hitting our lot here at Herb Gordon Subaru. While our dealers are still waiting for information on certain models, some facts about the upcoming 2022 Subaru Forester have recently come to light.
Like previous models of the adventure-ready SUV, the upcoming Subaru Forester is ready to be loved by active families, but it will boast a long list of new features as well.
3 Available Trims
The first thing that we know about the upcoming Subaru SUV is that it will come in three available trims: the 2.5i AWD, the 2.5i-L AWD, and the Hybrid L AWD. Also rumored is a brand new Wilderness trim, which was first added to the Subaru Outback this model year.
Assuming that the features will be similar to those found on the Subaru Outback, we can expect the Wilderness trim to have:
- Factory lift
- Taller all-terrain tires
- Black plastic cladding
- LED fog lights
While there’s not much more available information about the Wilderness trim, we do know about the three confirmed trims.
Subaru Forester 2.5i AWD
The base trim of the 2022 Subaru Forester will feature a direct-injected, horizontally opposed Boxer four-cylinder engine. Like both other trims, it comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive with an Active Torque Split.
Subaru Forester 2.5i-L AWD
This version of the Subaru Forester is set to have an upgraded gasoline powertrain. Like other trims, it will include an integrated infotainment system with:
- Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™
- Eight Harmon Kardon speakers, subwoofer, and amplifier
- Eight-inch touchscreen
Subaru Forester Hybrid L AWD
This trim of the Subaru Forester will come with an e-Boxer four-cylinder hybrid powertrain.
