If you’re glancing at our website and see two types of pre-owned Subaru cars, standard pre-owned and Certified Pre-Owned, you have likely wondered what the difference is. In addition to undergoing a comprehensive inspection, Certified Pre-Owned Subaru cars also have an extensive warranty that’s included.
Here is an overview of that warranty, as well as additional benefits of buying a CPO Subaru car.
2 Optional Warranties
When you buy a CPO Subaru vehicle, whatever is left on the first owner’s Powertrain coverage will be transferred to you. In addition to this, you can choose between one of two optional upgrade plans.
7 Year or 100,000 Mile CPO Classic Wrap-Around Plan with Roadside Assistance
This “classic” warranty plan covers nearly 1,000 parts in all major component areas, including:
- Engine
- Brakes
- Steering
- Front suspension
- Transmission
- Electrical, cooling, and fuel systems
This plan also provides towing and rental car reimbursement for when you get covered repairs at our Subaru service center.
7 Year or 100,000 Miles CPO Gold Plus Wrap-Around Plan with Roadside Assistance
Gold Plus plan includes all Classic plan coverage plus hundreds more parts. They provide essentially the same bumper-to-bumper coverage as the basic factory warranty. Only a few maintenance items and body parts are not covered when you choose this plan. The Gold Plus plan also reimburses for lodging and meals when a breakdown interrupts your out-of-town travel, and also includes computerized trip routing, retailer locator service, and travel assistance.
