What to Bring When Buying a Car
Your Complete Checklist
We make the car-buying process as quick and seamless as possible. To help you stay on track, we've put together the list below of the documents and information you'll want to bring with you when you're ready to purchase your Subaru.
Valid Driver's License
An ID Card with current address or change of address card is also accepted.
Valid Insurance Card
Name of the purchaser must be on the insurance card. Proof of full coverage insurance is also accepted. Make sure the dates on your declaration or insurance card are current.
Valid Trade Registration
Make sure the dates on your Registration are current.
Trade Payoff Information
A Statement with the account number, bank, bank address, and phone number, if you still owe money on a trade.
Original Trade Title
Additionally, any person on the trade registration/title will need to be here in person with a valid driver's license/state ID to sign off. All parties MUST be present at time of signing.
Credit Reports
If you are financing and have frozen your credit, please unfreeze your Equifax and Experian reports for several days in order for us to process a new loan.
Payment
Herb Gordon Subaru assesses a surcharge of 3% when paying with a credit card for all sales, service and parts transactions.
This surcharge is not greater than our cost of acceptance and is not applicable on debit or prepaid card transactions.
Check Book
All checks, personal or certified, are to be made out ONLY TO Herb Gordon Subaru. No 3rd party checks will be accepted, personal or certified. (For example, if your name isn't going on the buyer's order, we can't accept a check from you) If you are paying with a debit card, please make sure you contact your bank beforehand to raise your daily limit. Wire transfer funds need to be received in Herb Gordon Subaru's account before picking up the vehicle.
